Prohms have been providing Kirkgate Engineering Ltd with on site Audio and Spiro Testing for the past 3 years. With 30 employees, a shortage of space and much noise, the fully equipped vehicle they bring on site is invaluable. During this time we have built up a good relationship with the staff involved who ensure we remain compliant with the occupational health aspects of H&S requirements.
Additionally Prohms have provided in-house support with awareness training in respect of HAV, Noise and Respiratory hazards which was well tailored to meet our particular needs. Prompt ad hoc advice and assistance on the miscellany of occupational health situations has also been received.

'PROHMS has been the occupational health provider to Provident Insurance for over 5 years and has always provided support and professional advise that has supported the business in maintaining an exceptional sickness absence record. PROHMS have also been instrumental in supporting the Wellbeing@Work programme with practical advise on what practical checks we could provide our staff and how to manage the process. The nurses are always reliable, confidential and friendly; they have built up a trust which encourages a fantastic response for appointments especially from the generally more reluctant male members of staff.
The relationship has developed into a real partnership in the last couple of years with PROHMS acting as a consultant with regards to our Pandemic Flu policy and procedure and offering invaluable support during the previous Swine Flu scare.
Stress management is one of the most difficult challenges faced by any employer. Provident have successfully implemented a stress awareness programme supported by Mental Health First Aiders trained and supported by PROHMS. This has really made a difference to the support and understanding we provide as an employer, not only ensuring that we meet our legal requirements under health and safety legislation but also helping managers to gain a greater understanding of what mental health is and how we can best support those suffering from it.

'I used PROHMS to manage the Occupational Health requirements for the Ceramic Manufacturing side of Heritage Bathrooms. The are numerous initiatives that PROHMS assisted and initiated to promote health within our organisation, but three issues in particular will be remembered for a very long time. The first was the defence of a potential claim against the company, the second was the management of an serious Industrial accident and the third was the discovery of a massively high cholesterol level in one of our managers - sufficient for him to be placed on emergency medication.
