Colleagues at Prohms support various charities

with No Comments

Here at Prohms we take our corporate and social responsibility very seriously – and it’s also something we all love to get involved with!

Whether it’s organising our own event or assisting at another, collecting unwanted items or baking some cakes – we’ve done it all and will continue to do so!

Split into three teams – including our partner firm, Elite Executives – we each select a different initiative and charity every month to support. And, here are two fantastic stories we just had to share, about giving back to some very worthy causes…

Baking for dementia

Our first fantastic team raised an impressive £750 for Young Dementia UK, which is a charity committed to improving the lives of people ages under 65, who are affected by the condition.

The organisation’s goal is to allow everyone with this disease to access specialist support so they can adapt and live life by 2020 – so it’s a great cause!

Our fellow team members took to the kitchen to literally bake hundreds of cakes and buns to sell at our afternoon garden party. We were joined by friends, family and colleagues for a wonderful day!

Collecting clothes for Age UK

Another one of our teams recently committed to collecting bags of unwanted clothes for Age UK.

One of the nation’s leading charities that works with – and supports – older people, this was another great cause to back.

We each asked our friends and family to contribute and we managed to fill a total of 42 bags! These were hand-delivered to the banks, however we had that many we couldn’t fit them all in one car!

Two of our team members, Karen and Amanda, are looking forward to volunteering at the Leeds Abbey Dash in October, handing out water to the hardworking runners.

It’s really important to us to give something back to the community, and we’re so proud of our team for getting hands-on and contributing where they can to different charities throughout the UK.

Keep your eyes peeled for what we get up to next!
